Who’s Who of Jozi’s North Turns Up for the Bravo Africa Launch

Johannesburg’s glitterati lit up the Four Seasons Hotel, The Westcliff, this Wednesday night as the who’s who of Jozi’s North came out to play at the dazzling launch of Bravo Africa, the new home of reality television now available on DStv Channel 124.

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this was no ordinary event. Minnie Dlamini and Somizi Mhlongo caused a stir when they arrived together. In true A-list style, the pair skipped a grand indoor entrance, choosing instead to hold court outdoors, mingling and laughing with industry friends under the Johannesburg night sky.

Inside, the venue pulsed with star power. Familiar faces included Thembisa Mdoda, Nia Brown, Candice Modiselle, Vourne Kgosinkwe, Mamello Makha, Buntu Petse, Taryn Louch, Kayise Ngqula, Lula Odiba, Jo Judnick-Wilson, Judie Kama, Kay Sibiya, Jason Williemse, Yaya Mavundla, Kuhle Adams, Ray Neo Buso, Diolan Govender, Margo Fargo, Danny Painter, Sachi Okada, Roxy Burger and Jason Goliath, proving Bravo Africa knows how to pull a crowd.

The effervescent Thulane Hadebe (@YesitmeToolz) kept the room buzzing as MC, weaving playful banter with sneak peeks of what’s to come on the channel. Guests got an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated “Real Housewives of London”, set to premiere this Sunday, and a taste of the return of the hit comedy-dating show “Dating #No Filter South Africa”. The latter sparked lively laughs during a cast Q&A featuring Jason Goliath, Jo-Anne Reyneke, Nadia Nakai and more.

Adding to the glamour, guests indulged in immersive brand experiences – from Fenty Beauty glam-ups to spritzes of Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl fragrance, all against the breathtaking Jozi skyline.

Bravo Africa, NBCUniversal’s global hub for unscripted entertainment, is now set to deliver a bold slate of reality staples to local audiences – from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” to “Below Deck Mediterranean” and “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

If Wednesday’s star-packed celebration is anything to go by, Bravo Africa has officially arrived — and Jozi’s elite are here for every dramatic, dazzling moment.
