NETFLIX CELEBRATES THE RETURN OF BRIDGERTON WITH A SOIRÉE HOSTED BY FORMER MISS UNIVERSE ZOZI TUNZI

Opulence, splendor and a dash of high society chatter is the theme du jour as A Bridgerton Affair comes to Johannesburg on Saturday 26 March 2022. The soirée celebrates Netflix’s highly-anticipated Bridgerton Season 2 world premiere streaming on the service from 25 March. Hinting at the drama, chaos, passion and secrets that will unfold in the new season, the show is aptly themed “Love Doesn’t Play by the Rules”.

In her role as Her Majesty Queen Charlotte, former Miss Universe Zozibini ‘Zozi’ Tunzi will host South Africa’s Ton - with its rakes, diamonds and mamas - transporting guests to an old-world charm of the Regency era with an African twist. In Her Royal Highness’ attendance is the gossip rag writer Lady Whistledown - characterised by Coconut Kelz for the night - and Donovan Goliath cast as the queen's royal guard.

Former Miss Universe Zozi Tunzi hosts SA’s elite at A Bridgerton Affair, a soirée that celebrates the new season of the hit series Bridgerton, streaming on Netflix from 25 March 2022. Zozi will don the role of the fan-favourite royal Queen Charlotte (played by Golda Rosheuvel). The exclusive Inanda Club in Johannesburg provides the perfect backdrop of England’s Regency-era London that is synonymous with the show. In true Mzansi style, the decor, music and food will add a glamorous African twist to the ball. Dearest Reader, Coconut Kelz personifies Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews) - the gossip merchant who sets tongues wagging and wigs falling in the Ton with her mischievous pen. Donovan Goliath in his capacity as the queens’ royal guard (played by Hugh Sachs ) will help the guests get Bridgerton ready by ensuring that everyone is in on the Bridgerton slang, threads, and protocols come the night of A Bridgerton Affair.
