Apple Music is getting into the giving spirit this holiday season with the launch of From Apple Music With Love, a special countdown to the holidays. Each day at 6pm CAT from November 26 - December 3, Apple Music subscribers will receive exclusive gifts from some of the biggest and brightest names in music, stamped with love and ready for unwrapping. Gifts range from exclusive EPs in Spatial Audio, to a behind-the scenes documentary films, to special holiday playlists, radio episodes, DJ mixes, and beyond. Today’s first exclusive gift comes handled with care from global superstar DJ Khaled: a year-end megamix featuring some of the biggest tracks featured on Apple Music’s popular Today’s Hits playlist over the past year and featuring songs by Justin Bieber, Drake, and Lil Baby. “Something that I love to do when I make records is putting the best people all on one record,” Khaled tells Apple Music. “So for this mix, it was real great to be able to put the top hits—the best of the best—all on one mix. You know what I'm saying? The dream team. All-Star Weekend. But in music.” Hear all your favorites this year in one place, with insights, commentary, and reflection on the year that was from Khaled himself.
Saturday’s (27 Nov) exclusive gift is a four-parter, with original holiday-themed radio shows from Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani, Lorde, Becky G, and Idris Elba today, Saturday, November 27th from 2:00-5:00pm PST.
2:00PM - Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani bring their Christmas fun to this one-hour special, they will share their family traditions, memories, music, anecdotes and more. They will take us through some of the most memorable Christmas songs and insights about each song they love. "Thank you Apple Music for asking us to do this,” says Blake. "It's really cool. The holidays, Christmas, especially is just very important to Gwen and I.”
3:00PM - Lorde shares her favorite songs to play during New Zealand’s summer days. She plays songs by Davido, Jamelia, Natasha Bedingfield and many more. Plus will she shares holiday memories and her favorite summer drink. "I'm here to wish you a very happy start of summer from Apple Music With Love,” she says. "Even if your December to February period will not be as sunny and swim-filled as mine, I hope you can enjoy this. Save it for June, perhaps.”
4:00PM - In honor of the holidays, Becky G plays her favorite Christmas music, including songs by Jay Wheeler, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey and more. Plus her friend Chiquis Rivera checks in. "Que pasa, mi gente? We will talk about the gift of being present 'cause Christmas is not just about presents, y'all. It's about being present,” says Becky G. "I get annoyed that it's not holiday time all the time. I wish we could be this happy 365 days a year. Maybe that's something we should practice, but anyways, we'll get into that.”
5:00PM - Idris Elba brings his DJ friend Boogie, and friends to the studio for a ChristMASH Soundclash. They each spin the Wheel of Steel and play various genre as the lucky wheel picks out. You will get to hear songs by DMX, Shabba Ranks, Roger Sanchez and many more. "Welcome and Merry Christmas, by the way, from Apple Music With Love,” says Idris. “This show is dedicated as a gift to your musical ears, and I've got a very special show for you today. So we're going to play some music, and it's with some of the best DJs in the world, plus Boogie.”
Sunday’s (28 Nov) exclusive gift comes from legendary R&B singer-songwriter Alicia Keys: a collection of lullabies called Sweet Dreams in Spatial Audio—which includes “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “Best of Me” and features the singer’s son. Perfect for quiet time with the little ones as the season offers an opportunity to bring us closer together.
