WHETHER he’s wearing Gucci Princetown leather slippers with an open shirt, a tracksuit while carrying a tote bag, or his fur coat, rapper Riky Rick has always had tongues wagging about what he has worn at red carpet events.
Last November it was these very same looks that had many talking that scooped the rapper - real names Rikhado Makhado - the Most Stylish Performing Artist in Music at the annual SA Style Awards. And now his Gucci filled life has been noticed by the label's creative director Alessandro Michele who's extended an invitation to the rapper to attend their shows in Milan.
This morning, the Sidlukotini rapper posted an image of himself on board a flight to Milan, captioned: "From Braamfontein to Milan chasing your dreams never felt so good" hinting about his trip to the Milan Fall/Winter Fashion Week 2017-2018.
And the rapper admits that the brand "has been a long time favorite designer".
“The brand resonates with me and I’m excited to experience the brand on this intimate level,”
said Makhado in a statement issued by his publicity team abroad.
Last month the rapper's eclectic style caught the attention of Vogue and New York Times street fashion photographer Acielle, while the 29-year-old musician was in France attending the Paris Fashion Week.
And for this trip, dubbed the Gucci Milan Experience, King Kotini will also be meeting the Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzarri, and attend a private Gucci showroom presentation. - release from Epiphany Agency
